Configure NetBeans IDE 6.9

  1. Add UML support
First, go to “Tools -> PlugIns -> Settings”, click “add” to add http://deadlock.netbeans.org/hudson/job/uml/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/build/updates/updates.xml as new  source for plug-in.
Then, go to “Tools -> PlugIns -> Available Plugins” , click “Reload Catalog”, you will find “UML” is listed. Just install it!
How to use this tool: http://wiki.netbeans.org/NetbeansUML
Update: Even successfully install the plugin, it still now works properly. I have to download  6.7 version. Finally, it works.
  2. Change the IDE interface language
If you want to change your interface to other language, simply modify the config file (in my case under Windows XP) located at “C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.9.1\etc\netbeans.conf”,  add “–locale en” to netbeans_default_options.  It will look like: netbeans_default_options=”–locale en -J-client -J-Xss2m …”
  3. (add later)
